Why would I want to volunteer at Pflugerville Community Library?
• Because it’s pfun!
• It looks really good on a job or college application
• You’ll be invited to all of our volunteen appreciation events
What are the requirements for volunteering at Pflugerville Community Library?
• To participate in the volunteen program, you must be between the ages of 14 and 18
• You must fill out an application and a release form
• You and your parents must come in to the Library for a brief interview (ask for Julia)
• You must make at least a 12-hour commitment and set up a schedule with the volunteen coordinator
• You must attend a volunteen orientation session (dates to be announced)
What if I can’t/don’t want to make a 12-hour commitment?
• You might want to consider joining TAG
What is TAG?
• TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group
• TAG is a group of library users ages 12 to 18
• TAG meetings are held on the first Sunday of every month, for about an hour (this hour counts as volunteer work!)
• During the meetings, members plan activities and give input into which books/movies/CDs are purchased for the library
How do I join TAG?
• Come to our next meeting (call the library for details)
• Stop in and ask Julia for an information packet
